While there are many smart home devices to choose from, the most popular tend to include lights, video doorbells, and security cameras. Lights are easy to automate, helping us without the need for interaction throughout the day. However, our cameras are passive devices that we only interact with when something happens.

This means we might not be able to stop something before it happens, might miss out on a fun moment, or just gain some peace of mind. The new Eufy Smart Display E10 aims to resolve that with live views, alarms, and more for your Eufy security devices.

The Eufy Smart Display E10 was announced on June 18, 2025, for sale through Amazon and directly through Eufy’s website for $200. The product has one configuration of 8GB of internal storage, an 8-inch display, and is available in white.In the box, you get the display, a wall adapter, a USB-C cable, a wall mount, mounting hardware, a cable wrap, and a charging dock.

What I like about the Eufy Smart Display E10

Peace of mind at a glance

It seems that in the past few years, brands have been working to give us more ways to manage our smart homes with purpose-built devices. Amazon released the Echo Hub in 2024, which could act like any of the other Amazon Echo smart displays. It was designed to be a central device dedicated to controlling smart home devices.

There have been other smart controllers that have popped up to help give us more ways to control our devices rather than relying on a phone or voice. The new Eufy Smart Display E10 aims to achieve a similar feat for our security devices.

This 8-inch tablet is a unassuming piece of technology, featuring a white plastic back and a black front. I love that even though Eufy includes a charging dock stand, it also puts a kickstand on the back of the tablet.The device also features a microSD card slot that supports up to 512GB of storage. It also works with the Eufy HomeBase S380 for external storage.

The kickstand is a valuable addition, as the display features a 4,050mAh battery, providing up to 24 hours of playback. This allows you to carry it with you while working around the house or even in your yard, assuming there is Wi-Fi coverage.

When it isn’t with you, mounting it to the wall and wrapping the USB-C power cord around the included holder helps for a clean installation. You can always opt for the countertop with the dock.

The display itself looks nice. You get a clean 1,280 x 800 resolution LCD touch panel for navigating the software, which is quite responsive. Eufy did a pretty good job with the UI for the E10. Aside from being snappy, whether that involves swiping through different screens, accessing live feeds, or editing your home page, everything works well.

Setting up the device is simple and requires only the tablet for the process, as it doesn’t connect to the Eufy app. After signing in to your Eufy account, the tablet will load all compatible Eufy security devices and then allow you to start customizing your display.

You can set up your home screen in various ways to get exactly the view you want, whether that is individual cameras, a camera grid of up to four devices, playback, or any combination of those. When complete, using the Smart Display E10 works as you’d expect. Tapping a camera brings up a live view, where you can interact with the microphone, move the camera if it supports it, view playback, and more.

On the top edge of the display are a power button, a volume rocker, a speaker, and an action button. This is a customizable button that can be used to launch the live view of a camera quickly, set it to do not disturb, put it into silent mode, or sound the alarms on the devices you choose.

What I don’t like about the Eufy Smart Display E10

I don’t like it, but I get it

When a brand that manufactures and sells smart home devices decides to create a product that manages these devices, there is one significant choice to make: open or closed. With the Smart Display E10, Eufy went closed, and I understand why. The E10 is designed to manage security devices, which means it has access to private information.

By closing the display off from other smart home brands and devices, Eufy reduces the risk of issues. I hope it can be opened up later, but for now, if you don’t have Eufy security devices, the Smart Display E10 won’t be of any use to you. On the compatibility front, you also won’t be able to add this device to your Google Home or Amazon Alexa setup, as it doesn’t integrate with either of those platforms.

This is a bigger bummer to me than access to other security devices, as Eufy does make some of the top security cameras on the market. I wish I could access Google Assistant (preferably Gemini) or Amazon Alexa, treating the display more like a smart display that is a security expert.

What I find most confusing is the lack of compatibility within Eufy’s own ecosystem. There’s no management of the device within the Eufy app. The Smart Display E10 doesn’t even work with all of Eufy’s cameras. The website only states, “Eufy Smart Display E10 supports most Eufy outdoor cameras, indoor cameras, video doorbells, and smart locks,” without giving a list of devices.

I am aware that the E10 is not compatible with the new Eufy PoE NVR Security System; a review is forthcoming. I am sure the product support will be expanded, but as of now, all I can say is that it is currently limited.

Should you buy it?

I appreciate what Eufy is doing with the Smart Display E10. It brings a glanceable element to our home security systems. Sure, it’s nice being able to turn a smart TV into a smart home hub, but a portable security command display is something more helpful than a TV. Allowing for a more proactive aspect to monitoring our homes, even the potential for fun memories.

Being able to walk past the E10 with a live feed going and seeing something silly my kids and dog are doing is something I’d have missed if I couldn’t just look over and see the feed. While the product is well-polished, featuring good hardware, fast software, and genuinely helpful features, the lack of compatibility outside the Eufy ecosystem can be a deterrent for many.

If you’re invested in another security platform, you won’t be able to use the Smart Display E10, and you can’t manage any other smart devices with it. However, for those already in or thinking of picking up some Eufy security devices, this is a great addition.
