Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. has announced the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform, the world’s fastest mobile system-on-a-chip.

This year’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 is the world’s first mobile platform to record in Advanced Professional Video (APV) codec, enabling professional-level video production. Supported by groundbreaking AI-powered camera technology, creatives can realize their artistic vision with studio-grade video recording and extensive post-production control.

Massive Performance Boosts Across CPU, GPU, and AI

With state-of-the-art performance, efficiency and on-device AI processing, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 delivers massive upgrades and experiences that users want today.

The 3rd Gen Qualcomm Oryon CPU gains recognition as the fastest in its class, and boosts performance by 20 percent. A new Qualcomm® Adreno GPU architecture enhances graphics-rich gaming by 23 percent. The Qualcomm Hexagon NPU offers 37 percent faster performance.
