“What if it’s not him we need to be worried about?” Peacock has revealed the full official trailer for their new remake of the movie The ‘Burbs, the 80s comedy classic with Tom Hanks & Bruce Dern. This brand new series also called just The ‘Burbs is another bizarre choice to remake the same as the Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead last year. Especially because this will never live up to the original since it’s a hit comedy favorite among so many people. Set in present-day suburbia, The ‘Burbs follows a young couple returning to the husband’s childhood home. Their world is upended when new neighbors move in next door, bringing old secrets of the cul-de-sac to light, and perhaps even new deadly threats that will shatter the illusion of their quiet little neighborhood. The impressive cast features: Keke Palmer, Jack Whitehall, Julia Duffy, Paula Pell, Mark Proksch, Kapil Talwalkar; along with guest stars including Haley Joel Osment, RJ Cyler, Justin Kirk, Kyrie McAlpine, and many others. This trailer unfortunately makes this series look rather forgettable, despite Keke & Jack leading the cast. I wish this looked funnier! Not enough good laughs.
