Warner Bros. has hired Sarah-Jane Wright as its Head of Physical Production in the UK. 

Wright most recently served as the Head of Production at Working Title Films. Her credits include Billy Elliot, Atonement, Love Actually, The Theory of Everything, Darkest Hour, Shaun of the Dead, Les Misérables, Matilda, Blitz, and The Substance. She has also served as Chair of Screen Skills.

In the role, Wright will lead the UK physical production team working closely with the Warner Bros. Pictures Group to oversee the planning and execution of all UK-based physical production activities, from pre-production through post-production for the studio’s theatrical film slate, the company said today. 

She will also have overall responsibility for production safety and stunts, facilities, foreign government matters, production resources, post-production, visual effects, and physical production finance matters in the UK in partnership with the US post-production, VFX, and finance leadership. 

Warner Bros. Pictures SVPs of Physical Production, Jay Rosenwink and Samar Pollitt, will report to Wright.

The studio is currently shooting its Harry Potter television series across the UK. Dominic McLaughlin portrays Harry Potte. Alastair Stout is Harry’s best friend, Ronald Weasley, and Arabella Stanton rounds out the classic trio of heroes as bookworm Hermione Granger. The series is set to hit HBO in 2027.
